Stakeholders
We are part of the community in which we operate. We find it important to have open and trusting relations with our interest groups in order to be able to create well-being and promote economic and social development in Kittilä and elsewhere in Lapland.
Our important co-operating partners include the Kuivasalmi reindeer herding co-operative, local village associations and residents in nearby villages, with whom we discuss their concerns, current events, and our plans. We engage in active dialogue with elected officials and officeholders in the municipality of Kittilä. To promote the dialogue, we founded a Community Liaison Committee in autumn 2013 with representatives from our most important interest groups in the Kittilä region: the Kuivasalmi reindeer herding co-operative, local villages, Levi Tourist Office, the Kittilän Luonto association for environmental protection, the local parish, the local government of Kittilä, and Lapland Vocational College.
Our partners also include research institutes, universities, universities of applied sciences and vocational institutes, with whom we carry out training and research projects. The joint projects pertain to fields such as technology, environmental issues and occupational well-being.
